Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev secured his initial trophy for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult season, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and finally separating with former trainer Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title following the Rome competition and first on a hard court from spring of that year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, comprising in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and recurring emotional displays on court had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the highest level was over.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and compete aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a break down in the first set against the challenging Moutet, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to create a final set.
The opponent saved 4 initial chances in a close final set before the Russian secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, he clinched the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
