An fifteen-year-old adolescent has been sentenced to life behind bars with a base term of 16-year period for the killing of fellow student the victim during a lunch period.

Mohammed Umar Khan knifed the victim, who was also 15 years old, through the chest with a large blade at the city's educational institution in the second month.

"You were the instigator and... you proceeded in pain and fury at what you regarded to be his betrayal of your friendship," pronounced the justice during the punishment phase.

The educational institution issued a message expressing that Harvey was "greatly mourned every day by the entire school community".

Law enforcement emphasized the devastating outcomes of carrying knives, commenting that a "momentary choice" can irreversibly alter numerous lives.
